New Life….

Sadly, our beloved dog Daisy passed away suddenly in June, leaving us heartbroken.

No reason or explanation, just a sad goodbye in her last minutes.  At least we were with her.

We are now “chumans” to Oscar.  He does not replace Daisy but has become part of our family.  He is settling in and getting used to living in a house.  His usual lifestyle was to be kept outside.

I am letting him and the cats find their own place in the pecking order.  Seems to be working so far.

Oscar is about half the size of Daisy so we had to make the garden safe.  €300 and them some.  Oooppps, miss a bit so he took himself off for a little run,  thankfully it didn’t take long to find him and he does answer to his name.  Double checked fence and think it is ok now.  The escape was through the back of the log store!

We have been dealing with high temperature for weeks now, and had to stop watering the plants so garden has been shut down early.  I must say I enjoyed working on it but crops not very good.

Fresh plans afoot for next year.

I am pleased to say that we are both in good health and have put the last couple of years behind us.

My daughter is coming out in a couple of weeks with her partner and his son.  I am sure they will have a great time and she and I can look forward to our usual time together and do the girly bit.

I have a plan to make a trip to England next year.  I am feeling strong and confident I can make the trip.

Time will tell.

It’s good to be back.
